“Helping parents and teachers bring learning to life at home and school through play.”

Children need to play!

Play is an important learning tool that has been all but removed from early childhood classrooms across the country.

Contrary to what many believe, play and learning can co-exist with each other with proper implementation.

I created a graphic with my key steps on how to implement play in your classroom to add spice to your lessons!

Following these steps will make play implementation easy. Look out for my blog, where I go into more depth on each step!

Let’s Play!

Here’s some playful learning ideas for the month of …

November!

  • Have students trace their hands in red, white, and blue, then glue them to paper to make “thank-you hands.” Add a short dictated message like “Thank you for keeping us safe!” and send them to a local veterans’ organization or display them as a “Wall of Heroes.”

  • Scatter numbered feathers on the floor. Call out a number or simple equation, and have students “waddle” to the correct feather. A fun way to mix counting, movement, and laughter.

  • During circle time, pass around a small pumpkin or plush turkey. Each child shares one thing they’re thankful for before passing it on. A simple way to build language, gratitude, and connection.
